Hey all you cats and kittens! This is Pearl with the Pearl Report.
Today's topic is Setting the Ground Rules.
Now that you have found your new Mommy or Daddy, you will need to teach them the basic rules. Rules are very important. You make the rules, but remember, it will take time for your Mommy or Daddy to learn them so they should be simple, easy to remember rules. Here are the rules that I use for my Mommy.
1. Food will be provided to my liking anytime I desire it. Also, if the food is not to my liking, it will immediately be replaced with food that is to my liking.
2. My personal pillow is off limits to all others and no one may touch it unless they want to incur my wrath.
3. I make all the final decisions in the household, but I will defer to my Mommy on all the boring ones.
4. All other animals in the household must recognize that I am in charge.
5. My toys will NOT be moved or removed unless I show complete indifference for at least a month.
6. I will supervise all activities.
7. My person is NOT to be snatched up and smothered with kisses just because my Mommy missed me.
8. Guests must receive my approval and deport themselves with great deference to me, and they will NOT use my pillow or sit in my spot!
Hope these rules have given you some good ideas for your own household. Remember, you are the boss.
