Hey all you cats and kittens!  This is Pearl with the Pearl Report.  Today's topic is Halloween!  Yay, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  Tomorrow I will watch the little humans through the window and help Mom hand out candy.  I love to see them in their costumes.  Mom got a costume for me, but I refused to wear it.  My puppy followed my lead and won't wear hers either so there are no pictures of that.  However, like last year, Mom bought me a pumpkin so I have posted a picture of that. 

Hey all you cats and kittens!  It's Pearl with the Pearl Report.  Today's topic is Play.  Now that Mommy has completely healed from her accident (see last blog post), I'm able to relax a little and enjoy myself.  Play is a  huge part of that.  Both felines and humans need to play to be happy and well adjusted.  It releases tension and stress, which can cause lots of health problems if the stress is chronic.  Play also allows felines to practice their hunting skills and use their vast mental abilities.  It's also exercise for humans, not much I admit, but anything that gets Mommy off the couch and away from the T.V. is beneficial.  

Hey all you cats and kittens!  It's me, Pearl and I'm back after a long break.  Today's topic is caring for an injured loved one.  You may have been wondering about my silence for the last few months.  Well, a terrible thing happened.  My mommy fell and was badly injured.  I was terrified when it happened.  I felt helpless.  Happily other humans were able to help Mommy and soon she was back from the human hospital.  By then, I had collected myself and was ready to give Mommy all the help she needed.  I had the Aunts and Uncles come to help take care of my dogs, but Mommy's care was mainly my job.  

Hey all you cats and kittens!  This is Pearl with the Pearl Report.  Today's topic is Easter.  Easter is a religious holiday that is also a Spring holiday.  I don't know much about the religious part except to say white lilies are involved.  I know because one of Mommy's friends gave her an Easter lily.  She immediately put it on the back porch where I would not be tempted to nibble on it.  Mommy knows that lilies are poisonous to cats.  I don't think I would have tried it, but I'm mentioning it today because some young felines and inexperienced Mommy's and Daddy's may not know.  So all you Mommy's and Daddy's out there, if you have Easter lilies around for the holiday, make sure your precious felines can't reach them.  I have posted a picture of the poisonous lily.

Hey all you cats and kittens, this is Pearl with the Pearl Report.  Today is St. Patrick's Day!  Humans always seem to have a holiday in the works or happening.  I had no idea who Patrick was so I did some research.  Patrick was a good guy, who was in Ireland and drove out snakes.  For some reason, the color green is very important.  Everyone is supposed to wear green today.  Mommy bought my old dog, me, and my puppy some green things to wear.  According to Mommy, if we don't wear green, we will be pinched.  I don't think so!  If someone tries to pinch me, I will bite them.  Mommy tried to put my bow on, but I won't wear it.  I have posted a picture of my old dog wearing green for St. Patrick's day.  My puppy had a cute costume, but she ate it before Mommy could take a picture.
