Hey all you cats and kittens, this is Pearl with the Pearl Report. Today is St. Patrick's Day! Humans always seem to have a holiday in the works or happening. I had no idea who Patrick was so I did some research. Patrick was a good guy, who was in Ireland and drove out snakes. For some reason, the color green is very important. Everyone is supposed to wear green today. Mommy bought my old dog, me, and my puppy some green things to wear. According to Mommy, if we don't wear green, we will be pinched. I don't think so! If someone tries to pinch me, I will bite them. Mommy tried to put my bow on, but I won't wear it. I have posted a picture of my old dog wearing green for St. Patrick's day. My puppy had a cute costume, but she ate it before Mommy could take a picture.
I have heard that there are magical little people called Leprechauns that run around today and tempt humans to catch them. If they are caught, they have to grant wishes. Leprechauns are supposed to be tricky but not necessarily dangerous. Not like the opossum that invaded the yard. He hissed at Mommy. I saw that Mommy was in danger, so I rushed out and fluffed up. I hissed and growled right back at the opossum. He ran. He knew I meant business. If a leprechaun hisses at Mommy, I will eat him, magic or not. I have posted a picture of me, Pearl, on the lookout for leprechauns. If I can catch one, I will make it give Mommy wishes. Her first wish will be to get lots of money, so she can buy me lots of food and toys. Her second wish is that I will live a very long time so I can give her lots of kitty love. I think her last wish would be for my puppy to behave and do what Mommy says. I'm not really sure that even a leprechaun can make that happen, but we should be positive and hope for the best.
